Pizza Hut looks to topple rival with delivery campaign

Pizza Hut has gone big with its latest push, in which it trumpets its own achievements - and throws shade at a rival.

An online ad seeks to play up the Hut’s delivery service, awareness of which isn’t as high as, to pick a random example, Domino’s. ‘Now That’s Delivering’ sees a proud spokesman demonstrate the efficiency of the service by (quite literally) riding his moped into the home of a hungry couple. A series of clever cuts and scene shifts allow him to sing the pizza’s praises, as well as play up its £5 favourites promo. Set dressing and FX are sharp and funny - as is the script.

And that shade? A series of blue dominos (geddit?) are toppled throughout the ad - but it’s more good-humoured than mean-spirited.
